3 weeks left...

Hi! I have 3 weeks of staying in Oregon left, not a month.

1 year feels like really really long time, but actually short.

I had graduation on June 5th. I've never been a senior in Japan, so I don't know exactly. But I think it's very different.

こんにちは。オレゴンでの生活も、あと３週間です。1か月ありません。

１年はとーっても長く感じますが、実際は短いです。

５日には、卒業式がありました。日本では高３ではなかったので詳しくはわかりませんが、日本の卒業式とはとても違うと思います。

Some of exchange students are already starting to go home, so I'm getting really really really sad... I'm looking forward to seeing my family and friends though. I'm scared to go home(Japan) a little bit too. Because I forget lots of things what I learned in Japan...【Like Kanji(Chinese Character) and such...】 Of course I remember Japanese!! So, don't worry!

何人かの留学生は自分の国に帰り始めているので、すごくさみしいです。私の家族や友達に会うのはとても楽しみですが。日本で習ったこと（漢字など…）を若干忘れかけてるので、日本に帰るのは少し怖いです。　でも、日本語は覚えてるのでご心配なく！！

What an idiot I am...

I told you to take a picture of Donkey Basketball. But I was too excited that I totally forgot to bring my camera... I'm sorry.
The game was really funny. Donkey goes to different direction from where the player want to go. I wish we have it in Japan. By the way, it was a fund-raising for fire-fighter and police officer by them.
Yesterday, I went to my friend's house because it was her birthday. We played game, watched movie called "21" which is really really interesting. Her friends are asking riddles, and I remember one. What is a room that you can't enter? I'll put few days later.

　そのゲームは、とても面白かったです。ロバたちは、ロバに乗ってる人が行きたいルートと全く違う方に行こうとします。日本にもこんなゲームがあればなぁ！！！ちなみに、これは消防隊と、警察官のための、彼らによる募金活動だそうです。
　昨日は、友達の誕生日会へ行きました。ゲームしたり、『２１』という映画を観たりしました。『２１』は、はじめは興味なかったのですが、観てみるととても面白かったです。他の子たちが、謎謎を出しあってました。 その中から１つ…部屋（Room）は部屋でも、入れない部屋は？答えは後ほど！！（たぶん、2，3日後）

TV turn off week!!!

　This week is TV turn off in America. So, no TV or movies... We don't have to do it because it's volunteering. But my host family will volunteer for it. So do I...
　I'll go to see Donkey Basketball this afternoon. It seems to silly, but sounds interesting! I'll see.
I hope I could take some picture.　Then I can show you what it's like!　（I think you can guess what it's like already though...）
　今週はアメリカ全体で、"TV turn off week"です。なので、TVでドラマと映画は観れません…。と言ってもこれはボランティアなので、しなければならないってことはありません。　ホストファミリーは協力するそうなので、私も協力します。
　今日の夕方に、ドンキー（ロバ）バスケットボールを見に行く予定です。　馬鹿げてそうなゲームですが、面白そう。　写真を撮れたら、とります。そしたら、わかりやすく説明できると思います。（まぁ、だいたい想像出来ると思いますが(・_・;)）

Easter!!

We filled about 5,000 fake eggs with candies or chocolate in Rotary Meeting on last Wednesday.
ロータリーのMeetingで、約５，０００個のカプセルのタマゴにキャンディー、チョコをみんなで詰めました。
And we had An Easter Festival today. There were lots and lots of eggs on the field. But...they disappeared in a second... I was like, "Oh my goodness!!"
今日、Easterのお祭り（イースターは、明日ですが…）がありました。たくさんのタマゴが草原にしきつめられていたのですが…あっというまに消え去ってしまいました。開いた口がふさがりませんでした。
In the festival, I helped in the coloring section. I just needed to make sure that everything is going OK. I had some free time when nobody was in the section. So, I colored too. I love coloring!!
その祭りで、塗り絵のコーナーを手伝いました。何をしたかというと…何も問題がないか見てただけですが…。誰もいない時に、私も塗り絵をしました。私は、塗り絵が好きです（なんか、堅苦しい訳になってしまいました(；一_一)）

Why I'm laughing?? Because I almost drop the egg.
さっき、この写真を撮りました。　ちょうど、色つけが終わったところです。（今度は本物のゆでタマゴ）この写真を撮られたとき、ロウで絵を描き終わったところでした。なぜ笑ってるのかというと、タマゴをもう少しで落としそうだったからです。

I smell spring, how about you?

Yesterday was supposed to rain, but it didn't. So, I walked around the house. And, I found lots of flowers!!I think next time I put pictures on this blog, I could put some tulips. It's almost blooming!!
昨日雨が降るはずだったのですが、晴れたので家の周りを歩きました。すると、たくさんの花を見つけました。次ブログを更新する時は、チューリップの花を載せれると思います。

明後日は、Easterです。で、明日Easterのお祭りがあるので、それを手伝いに行きます。楽しみです。

Cheer Up Some Blue Cheese!!!

It's getting warmer in Oregon! So, I went cruising the car on the last weekend. The flowers are almost blooming, and many people hang out with friends. It was so much fun to see the changes. And, lots of people were cleaning their house like the day before new years in Japan. It was about 25℃ yesterday, and today... So, I bought a ICEE(Frozen beverage) on my way to go home. I'm sad because they say it will rain tomorrow...
オレゴンは、だんだんと暖かくなってきています。なので、先週末にドライブに行きました。花はほぼ満開で、たくさんの人たちが友達と外で遊んでいます。そんな変化を見て、とても楽しかった。あと、たくさんの人が日本の正月前みたいに掃除していました。昨日と今日の温度は、２５℃ぐらいでした。なので、学校帰りにフローズンを買った。　明日からは、また雨だそうです（泣）
I took this rainbow picture a few days ago. In Oregon, we can see lots of rainbow! Do you know why? ...Because, it's rain in the morning, and it'll be sunny in the evening. And it happen a lot. That's why.
この虹の写真は、何日か前に撮りました。オレゴンでは、たくさんの虹を見ることが出来ます。　なぜだか分かりますか？　なぜなら、朝に雨が降っていても夕方に晴れることが多いからです。

Spring Break

　こんにちは。　日本語で、文章打つのが遅くなりました。もう、３月も終わりですね。先週の土曜日から１週間は、春休みです。ホストファミリーの仕事が今は忙しいので、家で宿題したり、映画観たりしています。しかし、一昨日は、近くのプールに泳ぎに行きました。（近くと言っても、ホストファミリーに運転してもらわないといけません…）１か月間泳いでなかったので、１時間ぐらい泳いでばてました…。そして泳ぎ終わってから、友達の家に泊まりに行きました。その友達は今、日本にいる留学生、Sちゃんの友達です。上の写真が、昨日撮った写真です。映画を４本見ました。なかでも、“Labyrinth”という映画を日本で見つけられなかったので、観れてうれしかったです。なんか、とても不思議な映画でした。

Hello. March is almost over. It's spring break from last Saturday. My host-family is busy with their work, so I do my homework, or watch movies in this spring break. But two days ago, I went to swim. I haven't been swimming for 1 month. So I got really really tired... After I swam, I went to a friend's house. She is an exchange student in Japan, S.B.'s friend.(This sentence is a bit complicated in English. Sorry...) Anyways. I took a picture above at that time. We watched 4 movies. And, I was happy to watch the movie called Labyrinth. Because I couldn't find in Japan. It was a little bit creepy, and weird story. But I liked it.

　ちなみに、上の写真は、水泳で貰った賞です。この紙は数人しか貰えないそうです。あと、服に付けるアップリケも貰いました。ホストファミリーとロータリーのカウンセラーさんに、『誇りに思いなさい』って言われました。なので、水泳してよかったなぁと思いました。

The picture upper is a paper that I got through the swimming team.And I got an appliqué too. My host-family and counselor said,"Be proud of yourself." So, I thought I'm glad that I joined the swim-team.

　今日は、英語の先生に借りたMacbeth（シェイクスピア）の訳（古英語？から現代英語）の本を読みました…。自分の訳はやっぱり思ったとおり、かなり間違ってました。例えば、『Fly fly fly』の訳が、『Run run run』になります…。

Today, I read a book about Macbeth which has Ancient English and Modern English. I borrowed from my English teacher. I was wrong a lot of sentence... For example, Ancient English use "fly fly fly" instead of "run run run."

　下の写真は、道路標識（地名標識？？）、その名も『Boring！！（うんざりさせる）』（笑）、Mt.Hoodへスキーに行った時（だいぶ前）、そしてPuffin。TVのドキュメンタリーでPuffinを見てから、少しだけはまっています。

4 months left

I'm too lazy...... I have lots of assignments (A lot for me...) Now, I'm learning Macbeth (Shakespeare). It's so hard, because they use old-English. I even don't know the current English very well ; (
I have only 3 months left for going to school, and 4 months left to stay... Time goes by too fast. I'll try not waste the time while I stay here.
I'm so tired. so I'm gonna sleep.
The spring break will start next week. So, I guess I could type a sentences in Japanese next week.
Oh. I have one shocking news. Not for me, but you. I started track & field. I love running. But I quit. Because it was not so fun as swimming, and I have some trouble with it... Maybe I'll keep swimming individually.

こんにちは。やっと、日本語で添付ができました。皆さん元気ですか？私は元気です。ただ、１人や友達と買い物に行ける自由が恋しいです。ここにいると、車を運転出来ないとほぼどこにも行けません。どこかに行きたいときは、誰かに『～に連れて行って』と、毎回聞かないといけないので嫌です。しかも土、日はみんな忙しいので、重要なとき以外は９０％の確率で『NO！！』です。だから、聞く気が失せました。まぁ、あと半年の我慢です。この前、初めて学校からBirkleさんの家まで歩きました。３０分かかったので、だいたい元町から山手までの距離だと思います。オレゴンに来てから、１度も10分以上歩いてなかったのでとても疲れました。日本に帰ってから、あの山手の坂を登れるかどうだか…(笑)
１、２月に2回スキーをしに行きました。Mt.Hood Medowという所とAnthonylakeに行きました。Mt.Hoodに行った時は、とても寒くてアイスバーンだったので滑りにくかったです。Anthonylakeに行った時は暑いぐらいで、雪は最高でperfectでした。どちらも楽しみました。３月のはじめには、バチュラー山という所に行く予定です。
水泳の地区（州大会の予選）大会が１３，１４日にありました。州大会までは進めなかったのですが、個人メドレーで１０位、背泳ぎでは８位でした。タイムは個人メドレー100yardが2m.55s.01（メートルになおすと3m.15s.32ぐらい）で、背泳ぎ100yardが1m.17s.09（メートルになおすと1m.26s.04ぐらい）でした。ちなみに、去年の8月の個人メドレーは3m.17s.06でした。23日からは、陸上がはじまりました。初日から、筋肉痛です…。

Hello there. It's Miho. Do you remember me? I still can't use Japanese... And, I miss to go shopping or somewhere with friends or alone so much. In Oregon(without Portland), you can't go anywhere if you can't drive... Anyway. I want to put lots of pictures, but it takes forever.
I went to District Swim Meet last week. I swam 200IM(Individual Medley), and 100 Backstroke. I was 11th in IM, and 8th in Backstroke. I couldn't make it to the State Meet though. I'll join the track team from next week.
The 2nd semester started in the end of January. The classes are not so hard as the first time when I came to the US. Reading the books or articles is still hard for me. The hardest class is citizenship.Because first of all, I know only some words of politics. Second of all, I don't know politics so much.
I'll try to put Japanese using the paste.(or you don't need Japanese?? Just kidding. I'll put Japanese.)

Hello!! How are you? Although I'm having good times, I'm very busy. Because, it's end of 1st semester, So I have lots of homework and tests and such... But it'll over in 2 weeks. So I'll do my best.
